Finally in the gallery search series of blog post, I have introduced searching by subject and location. For example Giraffe at the zoo or rivers in the lake district. Each image is tagged with a description for the subject as well as a location tag. Searching across both of these items returns images of the subject in the specified location. Certain key words are used to determine if the user has searched for a location, at, or, in, by are but a few. As yet it doesn’t work well with plurals, so ‘rivers in the lake district’ doesnt’ work but ‘river in the lake district’ does.

Following on from the gallery search, I am working on a simple little script to crawl through the colours of an image allowing searches using a specific hex colour value. For example light blue images tend to show sky, whereas red images show flowers, beers and flags. I am still trying to find the optimum balance between the colours when searching. Something which I will go into greater detail here later.
